July Newsletter from BVI Yacht Charters

Hello,
We are very proud to have received the Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor for 2018 again. It is the fantastic reviews from our clients that have made this happen and it is a great motivation for our team!
We have a great introductory offer for you on our new Jeanneau 490 Zephyr Deux, which will arrive in our fleet in November and you can read a very interesting blog about hiking in the BVI plus more news from the BVI in this newsletter.
As always, email [email protected] with any questions or inquiries. Enjoy,
Abbie & Cassie

CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE
We couldn’t have done it without you! 2018 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and Hall of Fame!! Thanks to all our wonderful guests!!
Each year, TripAdvisor gives Certificate of Excellence awards to hotels, restaurants, tours and other tourist attractions, that show continued excellence in hospitality. We have been awarded The Certificate of Excellence Award for 4 years in a row, since we started our TripAdvisor account in 2014. Our guests have given us great reviews with high scoring points, which resulted in these awards. BVI Yacht Charters always strives to provide great customer service and our friendly office and dock staff is well trained to give our customers the best sailing experience in the BVI. It’s great to be rewarded by TripAdvisor after all of our hard work and it’s wonderful to know that our many guests over the last years have really valued their stay with us.

LET'S GO HIKING!
There is a lot more to the Virgin Islands than sun, sailing, snorkeling and sand (and sundowners). The BVI’s have over 60 islands, and seven of them have great hiking trails to explore. Many of the trails are easy to follow and others are a bit more off the beaten track and a bit more challenging.
(opens in a new tab)You can find 26 hikes described in the book Trails and Tales: The British Virgin Islands Hiking Guide, written by Ron Beard and sold by Amazon (opens in a new tab). If you like hiking, we can recommend purchasing this book as it is packed with useful information about the trails and the nature you will see on your path!
- Sage Mountain trails, Tortola
- Bat Cave, Brewers Bay
- Long Bay/Smugglers Cove, Tortola
- Norman Island
- The Bath’s, Virgin Gorda

ROADTOWN FERRY REOPENS
(opens in a new tab)After more than seven months of being closed, the ferry terminal in Road Town is finally resuming regular operations.
The Ports Authority is now promising faster processing from Customs and Immigration. “We wanted to address some concerns raised by residents and tourists about the general condition and comfort of the arrivals terminal. With the addition, we have been able to add a few more Immigration and Customs booths, so we anticipate the clearing process will be faster and the environment more comfortable for both travellers and officers at the Road Town Jetty,” said Acting Managing Director of the BVIPA, Akeem Pickering.
