Obama on Vacation in the BVI

Former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, arrived in the British Virgin Islands Monday January 23 at 8:47 PM with Richard Branson’s private jet for a well deserved vacation. On arrival they posed with immigration officers and our Police Commissioner Michael Matthews.

The Obamas were swiftly transported to Trellis Bay where a boat was waiting to take them to Necker Island, Richard Branson’s private Island.

In Trellis Bay a small rib was waiting to transport the Obama’s to Necker Island

Necker Island is a 74-acre privately owned island, which holds about 30 guests and is located north of Virgin Gorda, about 20-minutes by boat from Beef Island. Richard Branson bought the island in 1983 and is living there ever since.

Later in the week, Obama was spotted learning how to kitesurf with Branson.
